What is HIIT?
High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), also known as HIIT, is a combination of cardiovascular exercises that involve short bursts at maximum effort in a short period.
What are the benefits of HIIT?
HIIT combines cardio and strength training into a single training session. This workout requires very little equipment and is completed quickly, so it’s perfect for those who are short on time.
There are many other benefits to HIIT training as well, including:
Burning calories
- It’s surprising to learn that you burn more calories when you are resting than while working out. This is because of the phenomenon known as Excess Post Exercise Oxygen Consumption.
Losing weight
- This is a great way to lose weight, as your heart rate stays high throughout the HIIT exercise, along with EPOC.
Building muscle
- You will be working multiple muscle groups simultaneously, and your muscular endurance will also increase as you push yourself at high intensity without much rest.
Blood pressure lowering
- Regular exercise will make your heart stronger, allowing it to pump blood more efficiently. The pressure on the heart will decrease, lowering the blood pressure.
It doesn’t stop there. The benefits of this treatment do not stop there.
