Many people have asked me the age-old question: Is Bridgestone or Michelin superior? The answer isn’t as simple as you might think. These brands are a great choice if you want tires. Both companies are at their highest point and have been for a long time.
You can’t go wrong with either brand. Bridgestone tyres nz and Michelin’s tires are among the safest, especially when used in the right conditions. Both companies make some of the most durable tires available, and their products are quiet, comfortable, and long-lasting.
Bridgestone and Michelin are also the two largest tire producers in the world. Michelin had $22.13 billion of sales, and the Japanese brand was more successful with $24.05 billion. The American Goodyear, with $14.8 billion in sales, is the third largest tire manufacturer. The German Continental AG made $10.78 billion in sales.
Both companies also own popular tire brands. Firestone is owned by Bridgestone, the largest acquisition the company has made in its history. The Japanese company owns Bandag, Daytona, CFNA, and Tires Plus.
Michelin also owns several tire brands, including Kleber in Europe, a very popular tire, and Uniroyal-Goodrich Tire Company (the producer of the well-known BF Goodrich Tires). Michelin also owns Riken, a European budget tire brand.
Bridgestone and Michelin’s tires have excellent reviews, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t dive deeper. There are differences in how each brand develops and designs its tires. To make it even more clear, I will cover every category of the tire, including all-terrain, performance, and touring.
But before we get to the comparison, it is worth learning about the history of these brands.
